Christian Story
Lajamanu was one of the first palces where Warlpiri iconography was adapted to include the entry of new culture into the ancient form of passing information. These days on a Sunday in the local church this old method of story telling is still used – on a board with chalk, but all certainly understand the story being told in a traditional way. The story is of Christ and His message, which is very well understood by a people whose senses are still well atuned to spirituality.
