People sleeping in their house olden days

$546.00

1 in stock

This is painted about the times before community living, in towns.  People made their own houses or wind shelters.  Families camped together and at night enjoyed the large sky of stars and fresh air.  The artist has used Warlpiri iconography which is looking topographically down from above, and combined this with a 2D form where we see the ground and sky full of stars.

The white lines are the iconography depicting a fire, people asleep including children and a baby.  There are 2 shelters – the big arches.
