Seven Sisters – Napaljarri Jukurrpa

Seven sisters (in human form) camped at Kunajarriyi (Mount Nicker) when the Jungarriyi wati (man from place called White Creek/Jarluwungu) watched from the west in the form  was stalking them in the south-east. He wanted the youngest sister but the eldest sister protected her and blocked his path.

She fought him as they tried to escape. As they fled, they sang a magic spell that turned them into stars and transported them into the sky.

Jungarriyi also sang himself to become a star and followed them to continue chasing them forever.
