The Nakamarra and Napurrurla women are getting long, rounded wooden dishes, often known as coolamons, (Warlpiri: parraja) to put edible seeds in. The seeds are from a low-lying creeper grass (called karlajirdi in Warlpiri). The women collect and clean the seeds, and later they’ll cook them in hot coals. This dreaming belongs to Jakamarra/Jupurrurla and Nakamarra/Napurrurla groups. It is about the Miyamiya, Jiparanpa and Pawurrinji areas, in Warlpiri country in the Tanami Desert.
