Watson Jangala Robertson has family in Lajamanu.  He comes here to visit and have a holiday away from Yuendumu which is a Warlpiri town 600kms south of Lajamanu. He also spends time in Nyirripi in the western part of the Tanami desert. He paints mainly at Warlukulangu Art Centre.  He loves to paint in the simple forms following his family tradition of Water or Ngapa Jukurrpa.
