Lucy has painted since she was very young.  Her grandfather, grandmother and parents have all painted up in ceremonies.  They have also painted art recording of their Jukurrpa more permanently on canvas, and sometimes sold it.  Now Lucy has painted her first artwork for sale.  Last year Lucy learnt from the elders to prepare her for her first public dance performance at the opening of a gallery in Katherine.  Dance, art, Warlpiri law and ceremony are still at the heart of her life, underpinning who she is – a happy, strong Warlpiri girl.
