Flying Ant Dreaming – Pamapardu Jukurrpa

Pamapardu or flying ant dreaming. This dreaming is about the purrungu – purrungu or flying ants that come out of the ground to make a new nest. The ants are found in the south west of Yuendumu. The ants fly long distances looking for water. The ants knew where to find water and our people knew to look for the ants so that they could find water.
