Sugar Leaves
This story is about the sugar that gathers on the leaves of the gum trees at different times of the year. These are left there by sugar lerps. It’s August and the small birds are flying in and around the gum trees collecting this white sugar from the leaves. Ants are busy on the ground collecting sugar grains that have fallen to the ground. In the old days people too would collect this sugar.
